Cyberworks Redesigns The Cook County Treasurer Website, With Online Tax Payment

User-friendly Design, Content Management, and Online Payment Appeals to all IL Taxpayers

The Cook County Treasurer’s Office, (CCTO) headed by Maria Pappas, turned to Cyberworks Media Group to improve usability of their website, upgrade their entire web infrastructure, implement eCommerce functionality, and incorporate Cyberworks’ exclusive content management system, Modular CMS®. The content management system allows CCTO to update graphics and content on all pages of the website, including news items, information in several languages and alerts that appear on the home page. We converted the site into a hybrid .NET solution, including extensive eCommerce, website user and internal administrator functionality. This cutting-edge, forward thinking solution allows taxpayers to not only search for their property tax information online, but also to make tax payments online, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with the payments processed in realtime.
The backbone behind the new site consists of multiple large realtime databases that contain hundreds of thousands of tax and property records. Cookcountytreasurer.com also features two extranets. One extranet allows banks and mortgage companies to process tax payments for their customers. The other extranet allows Cook County agencies to view reports of the tax payments collected and then funneled to their agency. There also is an extensive customer relationship management (CRM) application. We also provide dedicated managed hosting services for all of CCTO’s servers and databases. This is one of our most complex and involved solutions to date, incorporating many of our standout solutions.
